Not too easy. Not too difficult.
She has really whipped her students into shape. She knows what she is teaching and wants you to do well in her class.
I learned so much. I learned how to properly study for a biology course.

TAKE HER!!!!!! shes so prepared and doesn't use power point at all. She gives you packets of notes for each exam and really puts her time into teaching you everything. She taught anatomy and physiology and will help you get into that course.
This class was tough.
I came in to Dr. Puglisi's class hating Biology. As a freshman in high school I had a terrible teacher whom I learned nothing from. Coming out of Dr. Puglisi's class now, I am so thankful I chose her to be my professor. I have learned so much. Dr. Puglisi has a true passion for biology that you can see when you are part of her class. She has tutoring center hours, and recitation times, sadly I couldn't attend any of these because of my work schedule BUT she also has available office hours that worked great with my schedule, and she is very helpful. She is definitely not easy, the course is challenging and is definitely not for someone who won't put in the effort but she tells you that from the very beginning. I came out loving biology, the way she teaches is incredible. She is one of the few professors who actually lectures, rather than going through power points. She makes these amazing packets, that have helped me through this course so much, and I am sure I will keep them forever because they really are that incredible. The amount of knowledge I have acquired is unbelievable. I never thought I would be coming out of a biology class actually learning so much. NOT memorizing, LEARNING. She is a very honest person, and I love that about her, she lets us share our questions and opinions, and although she can be sarcastic at times she is always respectful of every person in the room. She tells you exactly what to study for, she gives you test reviews, and study hints. She really prepares you for every test, every practical, and the final exam. I can not stress this enough, I have LEARNED so much throughout this course. I think Dr. Puglisi is an amazing professor, one every student should have the honor to have.
I have learned so much. The highlights of this course were the wonderful lectures and packets she gave us. She was very passionate about Biology and wants every student in the class to learn and succeed. She is tough but if you ask for help, she WILL help you. She will make time for you. She knows this is a hard class, and is very honest about that. I learned about the characteristics of life, the difference between prokaryotic, and eukaryotic cells. I learned about cellular organelles, basic concepts of genetics, tissue types, and organ systems. I learned so much in this class.

Advice for students:
It's tough but if you need help ASK FOR HELP. Don't be afraid to ask her or anyone for help. She is so helpful and will make time for you. If you don't understand something act fast, the class is very fast paced and if you don't understand something you need to ask for help. Make study groups. I studied with one other person, and it was so helpful. Him and I would study on our way to school, our way to work, and before each quiz and exam. We would even make up questions that we thought would be on the exam, and it was an amazing study help. Also, you have to study, this class will require you to study at least one hour every day. I studied after work, and during the weekends for very long hours. The material is not easy but if you put at least one hour every day of reading your lecture notes, then you will be okay. This class is not for someone who will procrastinate and leave their work for the day before the exam, this class requires a lot of time from students, but it very rewarding in the end.
