This class was tough.
I would recommend this course because of the structure and the pace. Studying the law is very difficult, especially learning through an online course. Yet, the assignments were consistent in structure, yet forced the student to research outside of the course teachings.
My favorite topic in the course was contract writing. I have always had interest in how contracts are started and how they are protected under law. A major highlight of this course that was a lifeline during this topic was the textbook. It broke the information down in everyday vernacular and left you with the confidence of not only retaining everything, but taking what was learned and applying it to real life.

Advice for students:
My first piece of advice is when entering into this course, be sure to have an open mind and perspective. One must understand that the way most laws are written are very broad and open to interpretation. One must also dedicate a substantial amount of time to studying for this course. The questions on the quizzes and tests are designed to place you in real world situation and you must use the law to determine the proper outcomes or reasonings. My final piece of advice would be to fully utilize all resources. The professor is a great guide to clarify and enlighten any troubled areas of the course. There will be a great deal of terminology that may be foreign to the average person so Google will most likely be your best friend. By following these pieces of advice, one will pass this course with no problem.
