Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs Norman has extensive knowledge about the Nursing profession. She is currently holding a bachelors in the profession. She makes learning fun, but also very professional. Without her teaching (read it, write it, repeat it), I would have never understood the Latin language of medical terminology and how to identify the meaning of the prefixes. Because of her patience, I passed Med Terminology with a wonderful grade!

    Course highlights:

I learned that some vowels will be next to each other, the ending word 'al' indicates that it pertains to a specific organ

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always practice what you have learned from each daily lesson, that will help you to remember it

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although this was a one-credit, introductory-level course, I learned so much more than I had expected to. It gave me a solid baseline understanding of not only medical terminology, but some more common illnesses, and body systems.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me very basic anatomy of the major body systems, as well as a very basic overview of pathology of more common diseases and illnesses, as well as equipped me with medical prefixes, suffixes and root words to use later on in my career.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the class seriously. It's tempting to want to brush off a one-credit, introductory course, but this class requires quite a bit of work and study time. But if you put in 3-5 hours a week, an A is very attainable.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This teacher was great! The course itself can become a little overwhelming with all of the terms that need to be learned in a short amount of time but with a good professor it really helps.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about the body. I learned about the bones, insides, treatments, types of doctors or specialist and more. This class was very interesting and I loved it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed this course you will need to study a lot but it's not hard to remember the terms. Make flash cards throughout the course and the final will be easier.
