    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Desai really encouraged a community feel in the classroom. He held many discussions about topics that are very relevant currently and had us read passages and write essays about these topics. Desai made writing a ten page research paper not seem too bad as he really talked us through what he wanted and gave great feedback on a topic we could really be interested in.

    Course highlights:

I really loved the discussions with him and the other students on the topics before we wrote our essays so we could hear many different people's opinions. He taught us all the fundamentals of how to write in MLA correctly and gave great feedback on all my essays. Specifically, he helped me organize my essays better and ensure I stay on topic.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! Be ready to read short passages and learn. Participate in the discussions as it will really help you later when you're trying to write your essays.

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

I would take it. Unless you do not want to engage so much. You won’t get a good grade without engaging.
