Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As I was entering college from high school, one of the things that excited me the most was the opportunity that I will be given to study the subjects that truly interests me at a deeper level. Political Science and Environmental Policy has always been something that I was passionate about and I am so grateful that I got to be in her class as my first Political Science class at Santa Monica College. Since the very first day of class, Dr. Schultz taught me the importance of thinking critically and encouraged me to find ways to get involved in community. As the class went on, I really got to understand the foundation of democracy and what I need to look for when determining what system of government certain countries have. I got to sit down and really think about the distribution political power, which made me realize that I was so misinformed about American politics, encouraging me to approach Political Science on a more critical level.

    Course highlights:

As a student planning on transferring to a 4-year-university such as UCLA and Stanford as Political Science major, so many of stories sprinkled on top of her lectures gave me a glimpse of what it would be like to get a higher education and have the chance to speak with a professors highly knowledgeable of the subject and thoughtful of their students.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Dr. Schultz's Political Science class is my first course I took that is related to my major and I can proudly say that it has been one of best decisions I have made since I came to Santa Monica College. Despite being so incredibly knowledgeable in the subject, she was understanding of her students and truly showed her effort to help us walk out of the classroom as more informed, enlightened, and inspired individuals in today's society.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

would recommend because she knows a lot of political science more so because she does teach you to engage in the book readings and also she gives good quizes so you can get a better grade if you don't do well in the midterms and tests.

    Course highlights:

what i gained from this course basically was just a good passing grade nothing much because my mayor is fashion design so i just needed the credits to pass so i can transfer quickly therefore just as well the readings the books were normal.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

just read the books well and really pay attention to the detailed thing because she puts them in the tests and quizzes so just read read read and you will be fine.
