Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend taking GEOL1 with Lisa Collins! She has a great mix of lecture, group activities, "lab" practices and reasonable exams (no lab required).

    Course highlights:

I really loved her group assignments, and I usually do not like to participate in such (more of a individual learner)

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and the exams should be a no-brainer. Also, do her extra credit assignments, they are entertaining and will give you knowledge you'll appreciate.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course requires a lab which is more hands on for people who learn best with their hands. It feels more like play time than anything.

    Course highlights:

It is necessary to learn about the environment even if it is not related to the intended major. Learning about plants benefits everyone.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To ask questions of course but to also look up videos because there are a lot of science professionals with playful personalities that will help explain things in a fun way.
