    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because Mrs. Paik Schoenberg really prepares every student on what is to come for the transfer level courses. That way, the student is well prepared and the information would be fresh in their mind when taking the next course.

    Course highlights:

I really appreciated the teacher taking the time to listen and help each student out on improving their essays. This class really prepares you for your college level transfer courses. I've learned strategies that have helped me form better essays and it has provided me with a simpler way to connect ideas together to improve the essay. Strategies such as, "Talking to the Text" really helped me remember what I have read from the novel better. Talking to the text is when you write into the text as if you are speaking with the author. It isn't annotating, it is more of a way to help the reader interact with the text and remember more effectively what has happened in the chapters.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise future students to begin the course with an open mind/perspective because the teacher really gets the student involved in class discussions and she shows students how those with opposing opinions or views can still speak to one another effectively and respectfully.
