Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a great survey of art history where you could understand art through more universal and global themes. Art Appreciation gave me an alternative lens to look at art through and provided me with a context for studying and creating art.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights of this course was going to a museum and spending 45 minutes looking at one art piece. We were given questions to consider, but mostly our job was to observe. I started to see things I wouldn't have noticed at first glance. I learned to stop, look and observe differently.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students that you will get out of this course what you put into it. It is really easy to just skate through and do the bare minimum, but then you would miss out on all this course has to offer. I would suggest to do the readings and participate in the assignments because they will be worth your time.
