Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class solely because of the teacher, she is an amazing person and even more amazing teacher

    Course highlights:

From taking this class not only did I gain insight into public speaking but I really gained the confidence to be able to speak in front of a group of people

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely tell my peers to not be afraid of taking a public speaking course, I would say to them to just do it and then they will realize they can do it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would totally recommend this class to anyone, even if it's not required by their major, rather as a gen. ed course. Ms. Shaffer is an amazing teacher who knows how to teach well and intrigue her students. This class can make one's fear of public speaking disappear as it did for me.

    Course highlights:

I learned the different types of speeches and how to write them, what to do in order to make one's speech memorable and dynamic, and how to overcome my fear of public speaking. Some highlights of this class include (but are not limited to) creating speeches from a topic of your choosing, fun in-class group activities, and getting to know your classmates through their speeches.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always read the textbook. Even if the chapter is boring (which it will be sometimes), push through it. The types of speeches that she assigns are "personal culture," "informative," and "persuasive." Choose topics that you are passionate about. It will make the writing process much easier.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I'd recommend it because Professor Ogata has mastered communication because he has helped me improve on speaking in front of the class. Very smart.

    Course highlights:

He made the course very relatable and I learned a lot from other students speeches.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to speak. Study your speech and know it well.
