Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is very practical and very useful for any major. The professors work hard to help the students succeed and provide practical application to all the assignments. The course is easy to understand with wonderful personal rewards when taken seriously.

    Course highlights:

While the course itself does lean to having to give many speeches, it does help quite a bit with public speaking, as well as speaking in small groups. The course also helps with preparing students for interviews and productively speaking on a day to day basis.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you're going to take the course, try and enjoy it. Actually do the assignments, and work on your speeches before you have to give them. Think about how you're presenting yourself during the class and especially during when you're giving your speeches. Don't use fillers when you speak. Don't wait until the last minute to do the assignments. Also, take notes. They are a lifesaver, because you can use all of them on the quizes, and you can also use them to prepare for the mid-term and final exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Speech challenges students to step out of their comfort zone. Even the most outgoing students are placed in uncomfortable situations that make them grow as a person.

    Course highlights:

I know how to handle myself in social situations. and the proper etiquette in speech performance. I am confident that I could perform at least a 1 minute improv speech on any topic.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You will have to step out of your comfort zone, and though it's painful, it's worth it!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because you need it to graduate and she is very informative. She teaches you how to make eye contact, glance at notes, and how to know your audience and what your talking about.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would be each week we gave different speeches, we read a chapter and took a quiz. I learned how to be more confident when speaking in front of people.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice is do not hesitate to ask questions, she makes learning fun. Don't be afraid to stand up in class and give your speeches.
