    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I have had a fear of public -- well, anything -- since I was a child. This course not only showed me how to perform in front of a crowd, but also how to control my nerves and not rely on a prewritten speech. Prof. Sweeting was very nice and patient. Instead of teaching from the textbook, she relied equally on class participation, forcing us to teach each other. Real poetic, if you ask me.

    Course highlights:

I am no longer afraid to speak in front of people. This has driven me to take acting courses and actually perform in front of a crowd. Taking this course was well worth the time and effort.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

All you need to succeed is a desire to participate and be better. Also, there is a lot of outside practicing that needs to be done when speech time comes around.
