Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is very interactive and explains the novels well. He is willing to talk to a md spend time with his students. He is also very funny. The one problem I had with this course was his TA for my class. She was very strict with her grading and my class average was a low B to a high C. Otherwise the class was great and I learnt a lot.

    Course highlights:

We read, analyzed and discussed ancient epics from around the world such as the Epic of Gilgamesh, the Ramayana, the Aeneid, the Prose Edda, and Gawain and the Green Knight. We had to read the novels for every class, but the class itself was very fun and I enjoyed learning about the books.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Your grade is the class is based off of two exams and two essays. We have a few reading quizzes (online) that are super easy. Try and talk with the professor to see what he's looking for in tour essays and finals (since the final has short answers). Your grade may also depend on the TA. My TA was very biased in her grading and would take away points if she didn't like your ideas. Try to talk with the TA too; he or she may be the one grading your things. You do have to work for q good grade in this class so make sure you put in that effort.
