Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you take this course your mind may be blown! It might sound incredible but you will learn how amazing psychology is! Before taking this class I thought psychology was really boring and definitely not for me. After taking this class my perspective has totally and completely changed. I was amazed at how interesting and relevant psychology was in my everyday life. Now I say that psychology rocks!

    Course highlights:

The biggest highlight of the course for me were the hands-on learning opportunities we were given. Many times throughout the semester we would be in groups and given case studies about school aged children and asked to apply concepts and reflect on different principles we had learned about in class. We were also given the chance to complete and observational learning report in which we would find some situation outside the normal classroom and connect it to concepts from the class. The greatest thing I learned was how relevant and useful psychology can be an a classroom.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Show up to class every day. I know it sounds like a no brainer but many of my classmates got into the habit of skipping frequent classes. When that happened they missed relevant content and assignments. If you show up every day, you will get all the information and will be gaining the most from the money you are paying. My other piece of advice would be to ask questions and ask for help when needed. Dr. Gressick was incredibly helpful and would do whatever she could to make sure you succeeded and got the most out of her class.
