Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I learned more about the kindergarten curricula and three of the best early childhood educators that shaped education for young children. We were required to do 12 hours of field experience in an elementary school. During those hours I learned how a real classroom works and how to handle situations like a fire drill or a disruptive student.

    Course highlights:

Our professor planned a field trip to St. Louis, Missouri where we toured Des Peres School. It was an interesting and educational field trip about Susan Blow. I learned about the history of kindergarten and about the many other influential educators.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed and not get overwhelmed by the assignments and unit plans assigned, I would advise students to start on unit plans a few days in advanced. Honestly, students don't have to study much at all but for an exam some studying is necessary.
