    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because professor dewese was great! She really helped us learn all the reactions and showed step by step mechanisms to explain where things were going and why they were reacting the way they did. I learned a lot from her class and ochem is already a super hard topic to grasp but with her, I did well. Take her!

    Course highlights:

I learned how to study chemistry. It's not easy studying reactions and mechanisms but I found new ways to learn them. You can too. Organic Chem is a scary subject for most students but it's super interesting. Making models was something I enjoyed because you were able to physically see the molecules and their shape. It's helpful to have a model kit. Learning the way these organic molecules react and work with each other was interesting to me. I'll definitely take what I learned here into next semester of ochem.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study! Even when you think you've done enough mechanisms and reactions practice, do more! Working through the problems over and over and noticing the patterns with why things are happening will help you grasp the concepts better. It does take a while to understand topics so you can never study too much.
