Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would strongly recommend this course for people choosing between different psychology courses. The professor is great at explaining material thorough. You learn a lot of interesting disorders and functions of the brain. He explain different disorders in a way in which you understand why a person is a certain way. This helps because instead of judging them, you can help or accommodate the person. The class is very interactive with the discussion and always putting forth their opinions.

    Course highlights:

You gain a strong understanding of the human brain and the different functions. The course will teach you how trauma or damage to a certain part of the brain will effect a person. Scientific reasons of how people have mental disorders are explained. I gained a huge understanding of why people are the way they are, because of the psychology behind different actions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is a lot of information you must memorize, so it is best to attend every lecture. If you are having trouble understanding something, visit the professors office hours because he is very helpful and friendly. There are also many helpful videos on YouTube on the material.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was very interesting and I found it very helpful for a person going into the feild of psychology. It discussed all the disorders listed in the DSM in depth. However, the tests are a little tricky and the different topics tend to blend together which can make it hard to study for.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about the DSM and the disorders listed in it. I learned more about diagnosing clients and tips on how to get them to open up more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is very important to do the readings. It is also important to study as you learn the material, rather than after all of the material is covered.

    Advice for students:
