    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I took this course as a pre-requisite and I can honestly say I have never felt so challenged. I recommend this course for visual learners and for anyone who loces chemistry.

I gained better study habits and techniques from this course

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

This course is by no means easy. If you want to be successful in this course you have to study and learn the material by doing problems

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would only recommend this course if it was a requirement. I definitely urging to take this particular professor because he is great and knows what he is talking about. He gives an abundant of studying and practice tools that work wonders on exams. I like this class better than general chemistry because there are no calculations. It is more a visualizing class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course are the participation points that he gives. It may be a small percent, but it could help a great deal at the end of the semester. The homework is also a great way to really learn how to do problems correctly. My favorite thing about this class is that there were so many funny shapes and mechanisms and I thought it was a different language. By the end of the course, I knew what everything meant!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do as many problems as you can. Always practice concepts, go to class, and ask questions if you do not understand a concept. Don't be afraid to go to tutoring. Our free chemistry tutoring is Monday-Wednesday and I went all three days most weeks and it helped tremendously.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Organic chemistry, opposed to general chemistry, is a lot more applicable to life. It helps to understand fields like biology and how things work.

    Course highlights:

There were so many things that we learned. It was great to learn these things and then talk about similar topics in cellular biology. It really explained why things work the way they do.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study! I hardly study for gen chem classes so it was a shock coming to this course. It requires a lot of work, but pays off.
