Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because compared to other lectures, Geog 102 feels more interactive and it's better to pay attention. The professor uses an app called Top Hat which involves interactivity and answering questions straight from your device!

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course is watching videos on the effects of how North America's geography works. This class also shows films according to the syllabus and I learned how white privilege shaped the United States.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If I were to give some advice, always go to class. You'll get better grades and participation points go up higher when you just go to class. I also advise watching every video and other resources the professor sends out.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I am not good with sciences or history courses and especially I am not good with learning map, but Prof. Smith made this course so easy and so entertaining! She took a course that could have been so difficult for most to learn and comprehend and turned it into one of my favorite courses I have taken so far. She was so knowledgeable and interested in her topics that it made it all so easy!

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the videos she would show us to help tie in what she lectured on and our lives. It was kind of hard to remember all of the countries from each region when we took our tests, but her tests were fairly easy and as long as you knew around the area where the country was, you probably go the answer correct. Another thing that I thought was cool was on the first day of class she gave us a huge piece of paper and told us to draw a map of the world, including things like climate, countries, religions, oceans, ect. Then at the end of the semester, she had us a draw another map listing the same things and then we got to compare them and see just how much we actually learned just in the course of a semester!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always attend the lectures, the lecture notes she gives you have the EXACT answers for the study guides and tests! Take notes on the lecture notes she gives, they are fill in the blank from the powerpoints so they are super easy to do!
