    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Great teacher, and an interesting class. She is supportive and explains everything well.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot throughout the course, the biggest thing that I learned was about how people will conform to society. That interested me.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework, and read the book. It's that simple.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Song loves what she does. That is something very important about any course. You need to have a professor that loves what they teach and she lets you love the class with her. The course examined very different aspects of society and provided a great knowledge of different ways to view sociology and and what it means to social science.

    Course highlights:

You first overlook the definition of sociology and learn different ways to interpret it. You then look at gender differences and its role in this world. There is only one female sociologist noted in the book and my professor let me know that because of how important it is. You can even see the gender bias in this textbook. I learned how many people think about racism and what can turn someone to think in such a terrible way. You look at society and see how institutional racism affects many different groups and how the education system can fail people.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

What you need to do most is sit there and listen. You can take notes, but I advise you to sit and pay attention to what she says and how she says it. She lets everyone talk in the class and by all means participate in the discussion you deserve to. You can have fun in that class by doing that and you will learn at the same time.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it's different than your typical college lecture course and she allows you to speak freely in her class.

    Course highlights:

Instead of writing papers she allowed us to do community service work which was an added bonus to having less of a workload. She also made you think about different viewpoints on an issue not just one side.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Tips on succeeding in this class are showing up to class and participating in the class discussions. I also recommend doing your community service hours and as long as you pay attention in the lectures you should do fairly well on the exams.
