    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I took this course as a mid-semester, grade-boosting course. Professor Brown is a decent teacher, he knows a lot about Geology and is super passionate in the field. He is always super excited for class.

    Course highlights:

Brown is a very laid back instructor. (He even bought the whole class pizza one day during the lecture!) But within my 8 week course, I learned more in his class than all of my other classes combined. Intro to Geology is very cool. I enjoyed learning about the different types of rocks, and the elements that make up the Earth.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Honestly. just go to class. He posts fill in the blank power points and you can fill them in during class. Exams are all online. It is super easy.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because you will enjoy the flow and pace of the class. The instructor gives good notes and is easy to follow along.

    Course highlights:

Quizzes at the end of every week, exams spread throughout the semester

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Basic things about geology so I hope you know that you live on Earth.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, because it is such a tedious course of study that if you can pass Geology, you can pass anything. The details are so intricate, dealing with different types of rocks, with different properties and characteristics, located in different areas of the earth's crust. Geology teaches you how to study and how to learn, and that is why I would recommend it.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the properties and characteristics of numerous rocks, but more than that, I learned how to study. Study techniques are important to students, and although I will most likely never use geology in my future career, I will continue to use my study techniques learned from that class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It's easy to become disgruntled with the curriculum. Many kids who took the course with me did not understand why we had to learn about rocks. In college, you'll have to take more than a handful of classes that do not interest you, but it is still college. You need to do what you can to make grades and set yourself up for a nice future. Geology 101 does that because it is a 101 course, so freshman and sophomores take it, and they can learn from it early on.
