Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

While this is a requirement for many majors, I recommend everyone taking at least one chemistry course to understand the components of the world around them a bit better.

    Course highlights:

Bregel is very clear with her expectations of her students. She is very willing to help you (highly recommend visiting her office hours, even if you aren't exactly in trouble)

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Actually do the assigned readings; use your resources (tutor, prof's office hours) that way you won't be playing catch up. It's very hard to catch up in chemistry.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

For those who like science, this is a really nice course. The professor is really nice too. However, if you do neither like math nor science, don't take it.

    Course highlights:

There was a lot to learn. Stoechiometry, conversions, atomic relations, atomic structures, equilibrium, pressure, Hess's law, kinetic energy. There isn't really anything specific siince it is an overview and intro to chem.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you need help don't hesitate to ask the professor, students or tutors. Do the problems and read the sections form the book.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a pretty challenging class because there is a lot of math that comes along with it, but overall it is a very enjoyable class. You learn many new things, very interesting things.

    Course highlights:

I learned many basic properties of chemicals and elements. Many things that they undergo while going through reactions.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study very hard because the tests may catch you off guard. The practice exams passed out are very, very helpful so I would heavily recommend you complete them.
