    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Highly recommend, she actually cares about her students and pushes us to succeed. The work was never too difficult and work load is not extremely difficult. She gives great feedback to better the students! You can tell that she is actually cares about us each individually. I really enjoyed her class.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to speak in front of an audience even while I was uncomfortable and unfamiliar with everyone who was in the room. It made it much easier for me especially with a professor that was so caring. I believe that from learning how to speak in front of an audience, it will help me in the future approaching people about certain topics and with different audiences.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to speak in front of an audience, and don't forget to not do things last minute! It's manageable to do that, but it'll be much easier if you spread out working on presentations.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is required for all IUPUI Students, it really helps you improve your speech and public speaking skills.

    Course highlights:

This class is all about communication, you will have a few speeches that would be using a different purpose like a introduction, informational, and persuasive speech.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are struggling go to the speakers lab and speak to your instructor.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Prof. Cummings, while a relatively good teacher, does not do well when it comes to grading. She never gives 100%. She will also take an amazing speech and pick it apart and find anything and everything that could (or couldn't) possibly be wrong with it.

    Course highlights:

Because of Prof. Cummings' nitpickiness, I learned that there is always something to improve upon.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Actually write out your speeches. With Cummings, she'll tell you not to write them out, and to make sure to use notecards. But trust me, writing it out and knowing exactly what you're wanting to say will help you greatly.
