    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a pretty challenging course and required more study time than any other course I have taken at IUPUI. But I definitely recommend taking it (with Mrs. Xu if it is a required course for you) because having familiarity with the topics will be a big asset in a lot of advanced workplace positions (in the health care field at least).

    Course highlights:

Knowledge and understanding of: graphs, bell curves, data collection, experimental designs, sampling designs, normal bell curve distributions, z-tests, confidence intervals, residuals, regression slopes, hypothesis testing, p-values, 1 and 2-sample proportions, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Your success in this class will almost completely depend on your dedication to attending lectures, completing assignments, and studying for tests. The actual course design and workload allows for some leeway in missing a few assignments without hurting your grade, but miss just a few lectures or don't give yourself time to fully understand some important topics, and you'll have a really hard time catching back up. Mrs. Xu is a great help in and out of class.
