Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor, Dr. Zhu, is amazing at portraying the course material in the lectures. Also always in a good mood and will gladly assist any student with any problem.

    Course highlights:

All basic chemistry knowledge, plus going in-depth on some topics. 4 big exams are most of the grade, but not hard to pass with effort.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Prepare for exams, go to all lectures cause there's always in-class questions, and go to office hours if you need anything, or even stay after the lecture.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was necessary for me to take it due to my major, but if it's not a required course then I would not recommend it. It is a tough course that requires a lot of attention which caused me to spend less time on other courses that I needed to spend more time on.

    Course highlights:

Recitation was extremely helpful for this course since my leader was an amazing teacher. The exam jams are the best for getting a good grade on the exams. Those two resources were the best part of the course. I learned that studying with other people is useful since you can problem solve together and teach each other material.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always attend lecture and recitation. Also go to every exam jam no matter what your grade in the class. There is always helpful information.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Chemistry is one course that almost all students find difficult or dislike. However, if you take this course with Dr. Hong, you'll enjoy it. He explains things clearly and if you don't understand anything he's always available for questions. Also, he really cares about his students and wants students to pass so he provides a lot of resources.I highly recommend taking C105 with Dr. Hong.

    Course highlights:

I gained a thorough explanation of concepts that are hard to understand through working on the practice problems that Dr. Hong provided. Also, I grew to like Chemistry because of the way the professor taught the class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Work on the practice problems on the course page and on Mastering Chem. Also, go to Dr. Hong's office hours especially when you don't understand something. Don't fall behind because it'll be tough to catch up. However, if you do find yourself falling behind, go to the professor's office hours.
