    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Accounting is a required course for business majors at IUPUI, so there is really no way to get around it if you don't want to take it. With that being said, it is very important to understand the accounting aspect of business regardless of what area of business you are going into. So even if it was not required, I would still recommend it.

    Course highlights:

Financial Accounting built on the skills that I learned in A-100. We learned about adjusting entries and how they effect the financial statements. We learned how to report and analyze merchandising operations, long-term assets and liabilities, and cash flows. We also learned how to apply present and future values.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This is a pretty difficult course, mostly because of the amount of information that you are learning. I would strongly suggest completing the McGraw Hill Learn Smart, Quick Study and Videos for each chapter prior to completing the McGraw Hill homework for that chapter. It will take several hours per week, but it will fully prepare you for the exams.
