    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to those who will be continuing to take science courses because this teaches the basics of different science topics.

    Course highlights:

From this course, I learned the basics about cell structure and function. The course went into depth about the different transport systems of substances into and out of the cell through the cell membrane. Along with that, the different structures and functions of cell parts within the cell were taught. Another important topic that was covered was about different virus and bacteria types.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

For those considering the course, I would recommend doing the online assignments and reading along in the textbook with the chapter being taught in lecture. Also, reviewing any of the PowerPoint slides and lecture notes provided will be a very beneficial resource when studying and preparing for upcoming exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to others because the material is taught in an interesting way by a professor who is openly there whenever you have a question to ask. Also, the recitation and lab that comes along with the class helps build your knowledge on the material taught in class and helps you apply the information to the real world.

    Course highlights:

Not only did I learn different topics over science but this course also helped me figure out studying tips, how to make study groups with peers, and to stay organized with my planning. In a course like this, exams cover a range of chapters so planning ahead on how to approach your studying for that exam is important. This course helped show me that pre-reading before class and reviewing the notes from lecture the day of helps further your understanding and help you learn the material for the future.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Some advice I would give to those who want to take a course like this is to not procrastinate and stay on-time with the readings and lectures. Also, although attendance is not for a grade, it is important to not skip lecture because material is covered in lecture that can be better explained by the professor. Along with that, the professor will make sure to cover in class what you will need to know for the exam, so missing out on what information was covered in class only causes you to be more behind in your studying.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Marrs is extremely easy to follow in lectures. She cares a lot about biology, but she also cares a lot about your and your future.

    Course highlights:

Fridays were the best in this class, she always had fun Fridays which made it better to be there. I learned more about how plants and animals functioned in different environments and what was happening on a larger scale in biology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Absolutely do not skip recitation, it will help you in the long run! Do the ATP extra credit, its super easy! Make sure to study atleast a week before every test, it will help you out greatly!
