    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course with Dr. Yard because it thoroughly prepares you for the rest of your college career while teaching you all about the human body. I also learned how to properly take notes, listen effectively, and use your resources.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was the incorporation of his personal stories to emphasize the points in his lecture. His stories show how amazing and prepared he is as a teacher and as a person. Also, he serves the students instead of the students only serving him. He expects us to do the work of course, but he provides mentoring and preparation for exams.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To prepare for this course, print of his PowerPoints. He talks at a fast pace to get all the material in so print the PowerPoints ahead of time and just make additional notes. Dr. Yard also records his lectures and repeatedly says to listen to them. I highly recommend doing so at least once. Finally, go to office hours to talk over the results of your test and go to the provided mentoring (they sometimes give practice tests!).

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would 100% recommend this course to any and everyone. Professor Yard is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is very knowledgable and passionate about his work.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning the bones and the muscles. It's amazing to be able to apply my knowledge to common everyday scenarios.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up on your studying and don't give up. The class is tough, but you will be so proud of all you accomplished in the end.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is very rich in important and interesting information. It is a class that requires you to listen to the lectures over and over until you understand, The instructor tells you everything you need to know, you just need to know how to apply it. Understanding how to apply the information really helps in the lab section.

    Course highlights:

Although there were many highlights of the course, my favorite was hearing about Dr. Yard's real life experiences and stories. It made it easier to understand and apply information. I also enjoyed the hands on aspect.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I learned that teaching is the best way to study in this class. Simply memorizing won't do; you need to be able to walk others through information, otherwise you won't remember when it comes time to test.
