This class was tough.
I would recommend this course because it taught necessary information relating to wireless internet. It covers a lot of topics, such as wireless standards and WLAN site surveys.
This course helps develop the student’s understanding of radio frequency fundamentals and behavior; the features and functions of wireless local area network components. Included are the skills needed to install, configure, and troubleshoot wireless local area network hardware peripherals. Protocols such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 802.11 radio frequency technologies are investigated including regulations, standards, protocols, and devices. Network implementation, network security, and radio frequency site survey/analysis are vital elements of this course.

Advice for students:
There are two different types of tests for this course. One test has ten questions and a ten minutes time limit. It is worth 33.33 points. Although there are exam practice questions with answers in the textbook, they are not the same questions you will be asked in the actual exam. There are 18 total chapter quizzes and they account for 20% of your grade. Because there is a time limit, be completely sure you're ready before you take the test. The other test is a certification practice test. There are six of these and they are worth 66.67 points and account for 13.3% of your grade. Each practice quiz has a study sheet with the possible questions asked and answers in the previous session. Before beginning the quiz, make sure to download the study guide.
