Not too easy. Not too difficult.
YES! This university is one of the top in India and the course I had done, is extremely less popular. The program is a mixture of all arenas of the electronic media field. One can experience studying with students from all walks of life. Extra curricular activities are high and the whole studying experience is thoroughly enjoyable. This university is one of the universities in Tamil Nadu that is extremely free, allowing students to learn through experiences and self- development.
Subjects vary from journalism, video production, radio production, ICT, Mass communication, drawing and visual design, 3D animation, 2D animation, etc. The program trains the student holistically to face the media field. An internship in the fourth year helps the student understand what field of career they wish to build. Exposing the student to multiple subjects under the huge umbrella of media is definitely something new. If a student wishes to build a career in the media field but is not sure as to what in media, definitely has to take up this course to understand the basics of everything in media and find their calling. We had subjects like electronics, sound and acoustics, we learnt sound design, we learnt digital compositing, we learnt how to design a game, develop websites. The brilliant professors who are up-to-date with new technologies is a plus, because, in such a field, that ie ever- evolving, people need to keep themselves updated to catch up with the digitising world.
