Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The curriculum progresses in a very methodical manner. Every major concept is supplemented by exercises that are instrumental in understanding the material. Very little busy work is done that is not relevant to important course concepts. Participation is a very important part of the course, so students are able to build a strong rapport with the professor.

    Course highlights:

The course featured a great deal of group work, with both projects and an oral presentation. I received a comprehensive overview of the major elements of managerial accounting, such as budgeting, cost concepts, and tax planning. From a more intangible standpoint, I learned about the importance of attention to detail, which was critical in this course. However, the stress on this skill is relevant to any individual looking to own their own business or have a management role in a corporation.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to take advantage of the exercises provided. There are many opportunities to gain a firm grasp of the material, but the lecture slides alone do not provide the necessary background to be well prepared for the exams. The exercises, both in class, online, and on Excel, will impart a more practical knowledge base on the student.

    Course Overview:

I think overall the academic options are great - but it's not all perfect. So far, all of my professors have been very committed to my learning

    Course highlights:

and have been fair in grading. I'm extremely happy with the ethic they have shown (not so much with my work ethic, but oh well). There are a huge variety of classes to take, and it can be hard to digest at first, but they really

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

do try to help you wade through it all. I'd say most people take a few big classes first year, perhaps 3-5 with a couple hundred students, but it differs for everyone based on their major.
