    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because you learn a lot about the history of musicals and plays. All you have to do is watch multiple musicals, read some of the manuscripts, and write essays on what you think about a select few. There are quizzes about the readings too but they are not difficult.

    Course highlights:

Extra credit, few required essays, discussions, and the presentations of several musicals and plays are highlights of this course. I learned that everything that a playwright include are important to understand how they try to present the story. The director that transform the manuscript into a play or musical can incorporate their own interpretation. Lighting, order of the scenes, and music can contribute to creating different dynamics in the play or musical.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you read all the materials he assign, there will be quizzes on them. Watch the musicals and plays so you can contribute when it is time for discussion.
