    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    The course material is necessary in understanding statistics in psychology, however the course material was presented poorly by the instructor.

    Course highlights:

    I was able to fine-tune my skills in statistics and learn how to read and report statistics in proper APA format which is a necessary skill for psychology work.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    Be sure to check all of your work two, or even three times to make sure you didn't make any minor mistakes -- those minor mistakes can turn into huge mistakes quickly!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

    If you need this course, Matthew Ancona is the instructor you need! The focus of the class is understanding statistical methods in a manner that prepares you to be successful in a professional setting. This means utilizing SPSS rather than working through formulas by hand. Matthew Ancona is a professional, meaning he a great deal of experience in the field and has begun to teach on the side. He will ensure your success.

    Course highlights:

    This class is often a prerequisite requirement for graduate programs such as PA school. I took this to complete that requirement, but also learned a good deal about statistical analysis and utilization of statistical software.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    This will be the easiest behavioral statistics offering out of the lot at Towson. If you need this class, take it with Ancona

    Course Overview:

    Dr. Kukucka knows exactly what he is talking about and is enthusiastic about this subject. He gives rule world, fun examples to help students understand and actually apply statistics to real life. He makes the class interesting.

    Course highlights:

    From this course, I've learned that even a boring subject like statistics can be fun and highly useful. I've also learned a lot of fun facts and fun every-day application for the skills taught to me.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Go to class, that's what makes the experience meaningful. Also, find a friend to take the course with because Dr. Kukucka encourages students to work together. It'll come in handy for the homework assignments, which are a large portion of the final grade.
