    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course focused on using the basis of information provided in class to analyze new and more difficult problems. There is definitely a lot of critical thinking involved and it is a challenging course, but Professor Masters is great and I really learned a lot.

    Course highlights:

The course begins with a basic background of the study of genetics and goes through topics such as inheritance of traits all the way up to more complicated topics such as cancer.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Taking good notes is definitely a must for this course. Study from old tests and quizzes and don't be afraid to ask questions.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I feel that while the professor really knows his subject, he sometimes struggles to teach in to his students. The information transfer between teacher and student is lacking, making it hard for lots of students to pick up the course material.

    Course highlights:

We covered a lot of topics throughout the course, and the professor likes to draw diagrams, which can help. He also offered extra study sessions and was willing to go over homework questions if we were confused by them.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to do a lot of studying in order to stay on top of things. Since I feel that the professor sometimes has a hard time getting information across to students, it is very important to set aside time to read the text and do practice problems on your own.
