Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is very helpful in understanding our criminal justice system. I have learned about several court cases that set precedents in our country, and why the system is the way it is. The course really opened my mind to the topic and I know now the flaws as well as benefits of the system.

    Course highlights:

learning about different corrections methods was very interesting and really opened up discussion about the topic. Another highlight was learning about police discretion and the amendments that apply to the policing process.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

to do short amounts of studying every week to really understand the concepts, even if its just reviewing notes for a short time or going over flash cards. Take thorough notes in class because they will really help you prepare for the tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Here, you learn about the basics of the Criminal Justice system, from police to courts and corrections. There is also a historical discussion about how the Criminal Justice System came about and why it is much needed today.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was finding articles of events that were happening that week or that month, and applying the knowledge that we gained from class to the articles. Not only was it fun and eye-opening to how pervasive aspects of the criminal justice system is in society, but it also helped me remember things better for the test.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The lectures he gives and the notes he provides are your friends. Study them! He also highlights a lot of what will be on the test in class. Try and incorporate what you learned in class in everyday conversation. Reading the book is helpful, as well.
