    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    It really focuses on writing. The instructor shows you how to format a thesis statement. The course focuses on persuasive essays at the academic level. They provide lots of handouts and multimedia options to break down the argument process and show you how to build your paper. It also promotes good writing habits.

    Course highlights:

    The proper way to research and gather the appropriate sources. How to build your thesis statement. You are provided with interesting topics to write about.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

    Make sure you focus on time management. This is not a course you can pop information in at the last minute. You have to plan ahead and schedule time to complete the assignments. Review the syllabus and look ahead at all assignments the course takes place in a short amount of time and you have to move fast.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Mr. Leahey is a great professor who takes time with his students to make sure they are keeping up and performing satisfactorily.

    Course highlights:

    I have learned and become much better at writing and formatting papers to fit APA required formats. I have also learned how to cite, paraphrase, summarize, and quote within essays.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Don't let the your assignments pile up. Work a little bit everyday!
