    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Managerial accounting is something that is important for decision making within an organization and can drastically influence the paths and choices made by upper management. It's important to understand what goes into a report and how to approach business like an accountant would, even if that is not the position you play. Understanding the perspective and how an important sector of the business thinks enables for unity and cohesion amongst a manager and managerial accountant.

    Course highlights:

There are various ways to deal with costing the production of a good or product. Also, understanding how a decision can be made based on forecasted analytics is something that can either save the business money and cut down on cost or it can find a new process or method to increase earnings. Integrity is extremely important with accountants since they have access to data and financials that are kept confidential and within a few close-knit groups. Sabotage and other unethical behaviors can cause problems that a manager should be mindful of. Thus, having a good and trusted managerial accountant is crucial for any business.

    Advice for students:

The weekly assignment papers were really tough. I struggled to complete them properly and turned a few in incomplete. Make sure to give yourself a day or two to complete them.
