    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I was dreading this course simply because of my preconceived interpretation of literature was not from my own personal experiences, but because I do not enjoy reading. I thought the class would just be a bunch of senseless reading. I was WRONG! This class taught me how to analyze what I am reading for better understanding. The instructor was incredible! She gave feedback on every assignment that was thorough and helpful that pointed me in the direction I needed to go to make a better grade next time. Very fair and helpful.

    Course highlights:

I learned to think a more critically and how to use different techniques to analyze literature in order to understand more than just what the words have to say on the surface.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading! Don't just scan for answers to questions. That is impossible to do in this class. The class is tough, but if one takes the time to read the required materials, it will make it much easier.
