    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Accounting, although very difficult and time consuming, opened my eyes to finance. It gives me an edge in life because I better understand how financial businesses operate, as well as, how to manage my own finances.

    Course highlights:

Accounting opens your mind to how finances in general works. You will have a better understanding, in general, of what assets and liabilities are. It teaches you how banks break down accounts and why it is so very important for businesses to correctly categorize their funds. Incorrectly categorizing finances can lead to success or liquidation.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

This course is one that you cannot slack in. it takes dedication and commitment. Just consider yourself an accountant because you will have to do checks and balances for most of the coursework. You will have to make sure to study the equations; there are several to determine specific categories. Take this course very serious. be prepared to be a bit frustrated, but remember to ask your instructor plenty of questions. They are there to help you and they know how difficult this course is. I made a B, but it definitely took majority of my free time when I was not working.
