This class was tough.
Course Overview:
This is a required course at Ashford. The ALEKs program used throughout the course was a great way to push myself through algebra.
Course highlights:
I put off algebra courses for 20 years from fear. When I finally took the 2 MAT courses I looked at the ALEKs program as thoughit were a game, and each time I finished a slice of the pie I got more confident.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
Just keep working, even if it brings you to tears. Put in the time and you can get an A. If you just want to pass, do well the first couple weeks because it gets harder.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
The course is your typical math class. nothing to special about it.
Course highlights:
I learned more about math. it is the math class after MAT 221
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Make sure to stay on top of your work so it doesnt pile up.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this class to anybody that love working with numbers. However, if your not that good with number this may not be a class to jump into. If your okay with numbers then this will be a fun class.
Course highlights:
From this class I learned how to do polynomials, functions, rational expressions, systems of equations and inequalities, operations with radicals, and quadratic equations. When the time comes I will be able to apply this knowledge which I have learned.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
You will need a calculator and take your time. If you have a professor like mine everything will be okay because he was able to help when I needed it.
