    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

His grading is subjective. He is biased and touts his opinion, and tries to push students in that direction. He does not inform the class of events, very rarely responds to emails, and does not correct his grading when presented with evidence that disputes his comments. He seems to do a search and throw articles out whose titles appear to contradict what you have posted. I read every one he used, and while some of them agreed with my position, some had absolutely nothing to do with what I had written. (I have a 4.0 in my major. I do the research.)

    Course highlights:

It is a good thing I had a great deal of background knowledge. I learned very little in this course, the instructor barely gave a nod to the textbook, and would not let us count it as one of our scholarly sources. That is disrespectful to the author.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this course under another instructor. This one plays "Big me, little you" with everyone regardless of their professional expertise.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This particular course allowed me to look at the world differently. It enlightened me to see into myself and how I effect the world around me, how the world effects me and what I need to do to change things. Although I may not be able to change the whole world, but I can at least change my mindset about the world, the society I live in and how to create a positive change for those near me.

    Course highlights:

I was able to learn how individuals have different thought processes, and how each one will react, engage or disengage based on the individual or circumstances surrounding them. I learned that although a individual may appear to be successful, there are always underlying concerns and the outer world needs to be compassionate. Not everyone understands the struggles of one single person. This course allowed me to open my mind to different perspectives.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! I understand not every student is going to become a psychiatrist, or continue to study the psychological effects on traumatized individuals, however, this course if taken with an open mind will provide you the ability to see things very differently. Its the change in perspective that can create a ripple effect for better things to come.
