    Course Overview:

    This course teaches you to enjoy movies in a way you may have never considered before. After taking this course you will appreciate all the behind the scenes work that goes into making a great movie and may even watch some great films you have never seen before.

    Course highlights:

    One of the highlights of the course was getting to watch great movies that I would have never watched before taking this class. I learned how each item in a scene and the lighting used works together to create a specific feel in the movie.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Go into this class with a open-mind. Do the required reading it will help you to know what to look for when watching each film. Try watching films that are not what you usually like, the older black and white movies that are suggested sin this class are great films.

    Course Overview:

    The teacher rally engages you in the discussions, she replys back in a timely manner. i enjoyed being able to pick the films i used for the assignments on the most part. we always had options on the films we discussed

    Course highlights:

    the difference in actors, i also now understand a film as a whole and understand more about the movie making process as well as how to analyze them.

    do your reading, and all your work. take your time doing the work and quizes. ask for help if you need it the professor will help

    Course Overview:

    Very interesting course with exciting and dedicated professor. I will peak your interests in dissecting films. The course offers a behind the scenes interpretation on Film Genres, Mise en Scene, and Actor/Actress choice. You are unaware of the small things that make a film great. This course will help you understand that.

    Course highlights:

    I learned the in-depth detail of what it takes to make a film. The elements and creativity it takes to turn an idea and dream into a reality. I learned I have been watching films completely wrong. I now find my self analyzing everything I watch now. I pay attention to every detail involved to include sound, props, costumes, and colors.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Read the literature thoroughly. Ensure you understand the course work. Follow all instructions in the syllabus. Engage with your classmates. Carefully analyze each film. Choose films from different genres. Find a genre interesting to you, this will motivate you to critique each film properly.
