This class was tough.
I would recommend this course to all students because its gives in depth information about children that are just beginning to grow into their childhood. It takes a walk from infants through childhood and their ages and stages. They are broken down by theorists who have studied children for more than 1 decade. The course relates to parenthood, family, siblings, and relationships that have developed over time.
I gained knowledge by watching transition videos that ranged with children from ages 2-5 years old. I learned that all children do not learn at the same rate. Teachers have to be patient with children when they are beginning to learn how to write their names or learn a new skill. Their development is a milestone. Once children have reached a certain age, their development will increase and move on to be transitioned to another stage in life. Their physical, social-emotional, cognitive, language, and personal-social skills should be reached by the age of 5 before they get ready to transition to kindergarten.

Advice for students:
I have some very important tips. I would read the content before I would write down ideas to complete the assignment. Once I read over the instructions 3 times, I read the chapters twice. The chapters really helped and it was given to me through the schools website upon entering all my information to get into the class. I started early so that I would not have a late start on getting my assignments done on the days that the assignments were due.
