    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The best teacher I have had was my Twentieth Century Europe professor, Dan Hicks because he was not an easy grader. He is honest and very knowledgeable about this topic. It was humbling to realize just how little I actually know about history – even in his classroom as I was reading the assigned texts. In our discussions, I realized that I was understanding only a small part of a greater story. Dan, with his feedback and “tough” grading, inspired me to want to delve further into learning more about World War II.

    Course highlights:

The complexity and danger of being Jewish in 20th century Germany.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Spend a lot of time reading and less time writing. It is quality over quantity with this teacher.
