This class was tough.
I recommend this class because there is a plethron of information to be learned. Going in, I believed I knew a lot as it pertains to logic. However, once the course began, I quickly realized I knew nothing at all. I struggled in the beginning due to the fact I could not read a textbook and simply answer a few questions on a quiz to get an A. Ultimately, I am a better person because I too this course and was assigned this professor.
The highlight of this course for me was the end of the second week when I finally opened the door in my mind that held the contents of common logic. No matter how hard I tried, before that moment in time when the concept struck me, I could not put together two logical premises and come to a conclusion without a fallacy or thinking illogically. When I opened the door, however, it came more naturally, and it becamse easier every day from then on.

Advice for students:
No matter how much you struggle in the first week or two of this course, do not sell yourself short and bail out. It may come naturally to some, as it did in my class, but others will struggle. If my recollections are acurate, there were less than a dozen who done very well the first two weeks of class. Our discussion posts were a horrid mess, and nearly illeganle. Keep it up, and with the assistance of the instructor, you will finally open up to the concept of logic.
