This class is very interesting and unique for those studying applied linguistics. Dr. Linfoot is very knowledgeable and prompt in assisting students. The text and other required and non-required reading is very informative. I plan on using the learning tools from this class to supplement my other classes.
I learned how computers and language relate to one another. I learned about computer language and algorithms that are used to design spell-checkers and language learning software. I also learned how computer programmers use binary to create letters, words and punctuation marks.

In order to be successful in this class you MUST read the material. It is also important that you seriously engage your classmates on the topics that are being discussed. A solid background in the APA format of writing is also very important.
