Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Incorporating technology into classroom instruction is one of the most vital tools a teacher can use in the classroom. We live in a digital age where everything is done by using technology and educators would do students a disservice if the technology is not implemented in the classroom. School is no longer just pencil and paper or teacher centered instruction, it is student centered where students take ownership for what they learn. Technology allows students to build learning relationships by using technology for small and whole group instruction as well as independent learning.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was to engage students in lesson that would encourage them to love learning and prepare them to be college and career ready. I learned of various digital tools and how to use them to accommodate every student regardless of their learning ability. I also learned no teacher is on an island alone because of the plethora of social media and blog outlets catered to teachers. The resources for being an effective teacher using technology for learning is unlimited.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give to students taking this course is to keep and open mind of the unlimited amount of information that is presented in the course. There will be some things that you will learn and tools you will explore that you may not prefer but they are not set in stone. Remember every tool can be used or not used depending on what will work best for your future students. Learn from your classmates, build a future reference guide from your materials and others ideas. Explore and try every tool from each week and have fun it will be one of your best classes.
