    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The study of the Hebrew Bible was an interesting course that taught me not just the stories of the Old Testament but also the culture of the Jewish people as they recorded the stories. And because the class dealt with a topic such as this, it required a lot of readings and writings, along with a major group project for our final. Overall, the class had its interesting perks but it was hard and time consuming.

    Course highlights:

I learned about all the laws that are stated in the Hebrew Bible which tell a lot about the culture of the Jewish people. I also learned that, contrary to popular belief, King David was not as wonderful a king as some religious people look back on him as. And mainly, I learned that there was a lot of drama throughout the Hebrew Bible that kept me intrigued.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you would want to take this course or need to, don't have a schedule of classes that are all difficult because you will not succeed; this course takes a lot of time and effort to do it well. Do all the readings and take notes throughout, it's actually pretty interesting once you get into it! and try to enjoy it, it's not that bad!
