    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a course many must take as a requirement; however it's very educational and beneficial if they take it seriously.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about general chemistry and how it applies to everyday life, other types of chemistry, and the medical field.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

READ THE BOOK as you cover the materials in class, DO THE RECOMMENDED BOOK PROBLEMS because they will be on the exams, and GO TO OFFICE HOURS if you don't understand something because the professors WANT to help you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I enjoyed this course because the tests were very straight forward, and I really enjoy chemistry.

    Course highlights:

I learned stoichiometry, electrochemistry, periodic trends, acid base, titrations, redox, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to complete the practice problems from past exams, because often her exams do not change from the past years.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was extremely challenging; however, it was a great course because it was preparatory for future classes.

    Course highlights:

It constantly made you think and analyze, and it was always a great feeling when you accomplished or figured out how to solve a problem on your own. It made you discover how to apply the chemistry to real concepts!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise spending a decent amount of time preparing for exams outside of class, especially doing the recommended book problems because they will most likely be on the exam!
