    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Where this is a required course, I highly recommend Dr. Liu as a professor for this course: She is the embodiment of professionalism, and her knowledge base extends beyond the course content.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Liu takes you through more than just the DSM memorization: she incorporates treatment implications and real-world examples to help further explain the disorders and varying presentations. We also learned a great deal about differential diagnosis.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is very much memorization. I learned by focusing on the number of criteria needed, the onset, duration, and hallmarks of each disorder--this will help you rule out differentials!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Gives an excellent overview of the clinical disorders and provides good knowledge and practice in making accurate diagnosis. The course is taught by another instructor however, there was no option given to select. So, picked a random name.

    Course highlights:

Understanding disorders and diagnosis with respect to the current DSM, as well as real world settings or practice that helps treat people who need it.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading. Complete assignments on time. Participate in class discussions. And do your best in everything for this class.
