Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She's a great teacher and takes her time to explain topics very well. She makes class interesting while also remaining on topic.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were being able to have after class time with Mrs. Avendano. I learned all the basics of biology which prepared me not only for bio 2 but many other science courses.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Preread material and study that days material right after class or within a few hours of the class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She's nice and she knows her stuff. She will go back if you ask and won't get annoyed or give you a mean look. She's always eager to answer a question and will explain it in as many times as necessary until you understand your question

    Course highlights:

Good study habits and what biology is really about.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to see her and ask questions if you don't understand something.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking it because it is a required course for my major, but also you get a good introduction into Biology which will help with the other sciences classes you'll be taking in the next few years.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights would be getting together with other classmates and learning all the materials for the test. I really got to know others from my class and they really helped me with the material. I learned mostly all the basics for science including mitosis and meiosis, function of the cell, cell diversity, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Get together with classmates as your studying for the test. This will help you because many questions may be brought up and as the group, you'll be able to answer them. It also helped me because there would be part of the material I didn't know, but someone else did and vice versa so we really helped each other out. Another tip would be not to cram all the information the night before. Study the material over four or five days before the test.
